Burton Branch Branch is a surfy freeride powder snowboard. It is great with freeride and excels in powder specially in tight trees. I rode this board for long rides in Nagano and in powder tree runs in Niseko - Hokkaido, Japan. It is the third board that I owned but let it go as I have progressed more into freestyle all mountain riding. I had the only model available 2017 with size 155cm.
It is a hybrid camber with medium-stiff flex, very short side cut radius, and a tapered directional shape.
- The hybrid camber profile has the camber between the feet and turns into a rocker towards the nose. The nose is basically lifted to float in powder even without offsetting your stance. The camber allows a stable freeride even at high speed.
- Medium-stiff flex helps with stability specially at higher speeds but require more strength and technique to control
- Very short side cut radius allows you to make very fast turns and do quick narrow carves
- Tapered directional twin shape has a larger surface area in the nose for better float in powder and give that surfy freeride feeling. Moreover the stance can be offset backward for very deep powder days.
This board is for advance to expert riders, is a very quick and aggressive, excels in powder tight tree runs. It is most suitable for big resort, off-resorts and in powder days. It is great for carving at high speed, good with jumps and pipes.
