Never Summer Funslinger: My Favorite Freestyle Snowboard

I got the Never Summer Funslinger 2016 model with size 149cm at end of that 2015-2016 season on sale. I rode it from the following winter season. I loved this board from the time I first step on it and is now my favorite freestyle board. I have ridden this board anywhere from parks, small to large resorts, off-resorts, powder (doable) and even in trees. I was able to progress my freestyle techniques from buttering, 180s, boxes, jibs and jumps.
It has a hybrid rocker profile, a soft flex, a short-medium side cut radius, and an asymmetrical twin shape which make it very easy to turn and control even for beginners.
- The hybrid rocker means it has a rocker profile between the feet and turns into camber in nose and tale. This makes the edge less catchy and forgiving while having the stability of the camber on tip an tail.
- The soft flex makes it easy to control and do tricks.
- The short-medium side cut radius allow fast turns
- The asymmetrical twin shape means the heel edge has a short side cut radius (faster) while the toe edge has medium (slower) which compensates most riders, who turn slower with heel edge compared with the toe edge.
This board excels on parks and great for small to medium size resorts. It is average in speed which makes it a bit less fun for aggressive riders in big mountains or large resorts. It is excellent for switch riding and tricks, great for jumps and jibbing, fast turns, good on pipes and surprisingly good carving on hard snow. This board is very easy to ride even for beginners and can do wonders for those who know how to ride it.
